Hi everyone and welcome to my April blog post 🙂

Here you will find ‘Love Catching’, my latest cute design for Ringo the Ringtail Possum, a cartoon work in progress for the Australian Koala Foundation, a bunch of pictures from the social art groups I attend, my selection of images from the amazing ‘Curious Affection’ exhibition at the GOMA and to finish with a fun wildlife photo.

Cute Ringo the Ringtail Possum cartoon character love catching

This month Ringo has been sitting in his tree reaching out to try and catch a love heart star.  He is particularly interested in the red one and lets hope he can get it.  I thought I’d try a bit more bark colour details and a big friendly moon face to add to the cute kawaii inspired scene.

This design is available on a range of products in my RedBubble store from notebooks to mugs to greeting cards.  Please click here to have a look…

The past coupe of months I have been working hard on a cartoon project for the Australian Koala Foundation.  It’s a three page webcomic  that is providing a lot of fun creative challenges.  More on this in due course…

Below is a series of photos from the social art groups I attend in Brisbane from Drink and Draw through to Life Drawing and Paint and Plonk at Raw Art in West End.  All great fun with peer to peer support and an opportunity to get inspired by others and learn more skills along the way.

This weekend I visited the ‘Curious Affection’ exhibition by Patricia Pacini at GOMA.  I heard so much about it from friends that I couldn’t wait to have a look and I loved it.  Click the Facebook post below to have a look at the images I took.  It’s really something else.

And to end the blog post for April here is a cormorant hanging out in Brisbane CBD by the river.  Everyone just wandered past this beauty as I just stood and admired…
